Bruising in the Sole of the Foot

Bruising in the sole of the foot. Bruising in the thick horny layer of the epidermis is the result of a minor injury, e.g. a sudden halt while playing floorball or pronounced thuds while jumping. It gradually peels away during regeneration of the skin. If the cause is unclear, a biopsy is necessary to exclude melanoma.
