Reposition of Nursemaid´s Elbow
The sister of this 2.5-year-old girl had pulled her hand, after which the girl refused to use the arm, held it in a slightly flexed position and protected it from touching . The radial head is repositioned by grasping the child's hand with one hand and holding back from the elbow with the other hand. The elbow is flexed to 90 degrees, and the arm is supinated and pushed. Successful reposition is indicated by a snap. After a couple of minutes the child started to use her hand.
