Purpura Pigmentosa in the Lower Leg

Purpura pigmentosa in the lower leg.Pigmented purpura (or capillaritis) in the lower leg is a harmless, long lasting, often recurring process. It may heal spontaneously, also sunlight may be helpful, a topical corticosteroid may cure it, but nothing necessarily needs to be done for it, unless it is itchy. The disease mechanism is a local vasculitis of small vessels.
