Pityriasis Amiantacea

Pityriasis amiantacea. Pityriasis amiantacea is a thick mass of densely packed scales in the scalp. There may also be an underlying fungal infection and a specimen for fungal culture is indicated. Most commonly, however, it is a feature of atopic or seborrhoeic dermatitis.
