A 70-year-old male had large seborrhoeic keratosis behind the ear. The tissue was more tightly attached to its base than usual and its removal with a disposable curette took time. The procedure was almost painless although no local anaesthesia was used. The result is shown immediately after the procedure and on the next day when the wound dressings were changed. Usually there is no need to send seborrhoeic keratosis to a pathologist, but in this case the diagnosis was confirmed by histology since the tissue was firmer than usual.
