Venous Leg Ulcer

Venous leg ulcer.A venous leg ulcer is usually associated with oedema as a sign of defective valves in perforating veins. Unless the oedema is removed by appropriate therapy, all other treatment is pointless. In this case, merely a combination of an ointment-impregnated stocking (zinc ointment) with a Coban bandage over it was used. Both were changed once a week. Treatment to control oedema is simple, inexpensive and effective.
