Syphilitic Primary Ulcer (Chancre) on the Penis

Syphilitic primary ulcer (chancre) on the penis. Syphilitic chancre in the preputium. The ulcer is almost painless and it has distinct margins ("punched-out"). Inguinal lymph nodes are usually enlarged. Serologic tests for syphilis may still be negative at this stage. Take into account that the patient may have contracted other diseases as well (chlamydia infection, gonorrhoea, HIV).
