Tinea corporis on the forearm. Tinea corporis is characterized by an active, scaling and red border, while the central part shows less disease activity. Some follicular foci of infection may be seen in the central area. Tinea corporis is often caused by zoophilic dermatophytes. This infection was caused by Trichophyton mentagrophytes.
