Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography in Biliary Obstruction
Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is equal to magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography or endoscopic ultrasound in detection of common bile duct stones or malignant pancreaticobiliary obstruction. Level of evidence: "C"A technology assessment report 1 on endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) was abstracted in the Health Technology Assessment Database 2. Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) provide similar diagnostic performance as ERCP for detecting common bile duct stones or malignant pancreaticobiliary obstruction.
