Arbovirus Arthritis (Close-Up)

Arbovirus arthritis (close-up). Arbovirus arthritis, a mosquito-borne disease (here Pogosta disease from Finland) that occurs in late summer and is caused by the Sindbis virus, an Alpha virus in the Togaviridae family. A typical feature of the exanthem is said to be lighter "halos" around the maculopapular lesions, but these were not seen in this patient. The diagnosis was confirmed with serology.
