Tinea cruris, fungal infection of the inguinal region. Fungal infection of the inguinal region, Tinea cruris, is typically most active at the advancing border. This clinical feature, together with positive mycology helps to make a definite diagnosis. This form of dermatophyte infection is common in men, but quite rare in women. In most cases simultanoeus tinea is found also in the feet.
