Organisation of Asthma Care

There is insufficient evidence to assess the benefits of different ways to organise asthma care. Level of evidence: "D"

A systematic review 1 including 27 studies (9 RCTs, 4 non-randomised controlled trials, 14 observational studies) was abstracted in DARE. No conclusive evidence was found to favour any particular organisational form, although limited evidence would suggest that specialist care is better than general care and that shared care can be as effective as hospital led care.
