Curettage of Large Seborrhoeic Keratosis Behind the Ear

A 70-year-old male had seborrhoeic keratosis behind the ear removed by curettage using a disposable curette. The tissue was rather difficult to remove, but the procedure was almost painless without local anaesthesia. The result is shown immediately after the procedure and on the next day when the wound dressings were changed. Usually there is no need to send seborrhoeic keratosis to a pathologist, but in this case the diagnosis was confirmed by histology. Cryotherapy is a good treatment option if available.
