Seborrhoeic Keratosis in the Armpit Area

Seborrhoeic keratosis in the armpit area. Seborrhoeic keratosis (seborrhoeic wart) is histologically defined as papilloma of the epidermis. The surface is greasy, wart-like and crumbling. The colour varies from skin colour to almost black. The lesions may be removed by curettage (video Curettage of Seborrhoeic Keratosis) or by liquid nitrogen cryotherapy if the warts are itching or otherwise bothersome. Excision is unnecessary unless there is a need to exclude a pigmented basalioma or nodular melanoma.
