Nsaids and Ulcers

All NSAIDs may have similar profile of ulcer complications at equivalent doses. Level of evidence: "C"

A systematic review 1 including 12 studies was abstracted in DARE. The overall relative risk of complications with NSAIDs was mainly in the range 3.0 to 5.0. There was a clear dose-response effect with ibuprofen with high dosage carrying a similar risk to other NSAIDs at high dosage.

Comment: The quality of evidence is downgraded by several limitations in study quality.
