Plantar Mycosis in the Left Foot

Plantar mycosis in the left foot. Plantar mycosis, "moccasin tinea", in the left foot (viewed from the picture). The symptoms are mild, only occasional itching, but the scaling with some hyperkeratosis is obvious. This clinical picture is often caused by T. rubrum. The disease may remain unilateral for years (in spite of being contagious!).
