Neurofibromas

Neurofibromas. A neurofibroma is a pouch-like soft skin-coloured or light brown tumour of the skin. When pressed with a finger it will retract inside the skin like a hernia. Multiple neurofibromas are associated with hereditary neurofibromatosis, i.e. von Recklinghausen's disease. Other skin manifestations associated with the disease include café au lait spots Café Au Lait Spots (more than 6) and freckle-like spotting of the armpits.
