Valvular Aortic Stenosis

Valvulotomy was performed soon after birth because of critical aortic stenosis. Currently a slight valvular stenosis and regurgitation. The pressure gradient between the left ventricle and aorta is 25 mmHg. An ace-of-diamonds-shaped 3/6 degree whole systolic murmur and a 2/6 degree diastolic murmur. As the flow rate increases, the frequency of the murmur rises. Note the clearly higher frequencies in comparison with physiological sounds. The base of the aorta is not notably dilated; thus no click of the aorta can be heard. There is no need for further measures for the time being.
