Onychomycosis

Onychomycosis. The most common location for onychomycosis is the big toenail. The infection starts distally at the nail bed, speading proximally and, with time, affects the nail plate as well. However, the fungus will not destroy the germinative matrix - the fungal nail deformity is reversible with effective therapy.
