A Cochrane review (abstract , review [Abstract]) included 3 studies with a total of 404 patients, mainly female and older, with displaced fractures of the distal radius.

The studied methods differed from each other and it was not possible to establish the relative effectiveness of different methods of closed reduction used in the treatment of displaced fractures of the distal radius in adults.
