Atrophic Glossitis

Atrophic glossitis. Erythematous areas and grooves are seen on the surface of the tongue, and the velvety structure of the filiform papillae is lost. In this patient, pernicious anaemia was diagnosed in further investigations. The same patient is seen in picture Healed Atrophic Glossitis 2 months after the initiation of hydroxocobalamin injection therapy.
