Pneumothorax after Fine-Needle Biopsy of Lung Neoplasm

Pneumothorax after fine-needle biopsy of lung neoplasm. Fine-needle biopsy was taken from a neoplasm found in the upper lobe of the left lung in a 49-year-old woman. The diagnosis was established as large cell carcinoma. In the x-ray taken one day after the biopsy, a 3 cm pneumothorax cavity is seen in the apex of the left lung. Because of this, the neoplasm seems to be located much lower than in a previous image taken from the same patient, see Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Lung in the Upper Lobe of the Left Lung.
