Lyell's syndrome (toxic epidermal necrolysis). Lyell's syndrome is a rare condition, but possible as an adverse effect of systemic drugs. The skin becomes detached in very large areas. The condition is life-threatening. The patient should be referred without delay to a specialized clinic as an emergency case.
