Crusted Herpes Vesicles in the Finger

Crusted herpes vesicles in the finger. The vesicles are broken and only the tender oozing bottoms are left. The exudative scabbed phase may easily arouse an erroneous image of bacterial infection. The episode is recurrent: patient history is helpful in the diagnostics.
