Nail Damage

Nail damage. Even a rather slight damage to the nail root can cause a defect along the whole length of the nail, or even a crack. A creased groove or crack may also appear in the middle of the finger; it may be idiopathic (median canaliform nail dystrophy) or caused by repeated injury.
