Congenital Naevus

Congenital naevus. A congenital naevus is already visible at the time of birth or it appears during the first months of life. In small naevi with diameter of less than 1.5-2 cm the risk of melanoma is very small. If changes of pigmentation should appear it is advisable to examine them. This small congenital naevus has a dark spot in the middle of the even-coloured pigmentation: a biopsy could be considered.
