Osteomyelitis of the metatarsal bone. Osteomyelitis of the first metatarsal bone. Destruction and periosteal new bone formation are seen in the metatarsal bone (arrow). There is a necrotic ulcer at the medial aspect of the foot (asterisk) through which the infection has spread to the bone.
