Atopic Plantar Dermatosis

Atopic plantar dermatosis. Atopic plantar dermatosis (Juvenile p.d., "winter foot")) is a form of atopic dermatitis in young boys. The ball of the foot is reddish, scaling, often fissuring. Corticoids and emollients are helpful, until this symptom spontaneously disappears over years. Contact allergy is seldom responsible for the dermatitis.
