Lichen Aureus on the Ankle

Lichen aureus on the ankle. Lichen aureus on the ankle. The roundish skin-level patch has rather well-defined borders. The colour is first clearly reddish due to purpura, later brownish. The patch remains for months and is symptomless. Aetiology is unknown.
