Lichen Planus in the Inguinal Region

Lichen planus in the inguinal region. Lichen planus is not very common in the inguinal region. This ringworm-like dark purple-black, symmetric lesion was asymptomatic. The histopathological findings and the clinical picture are typical: most patients have lesions in other skin areas as well. No therapy is needed in asymptomatic cases. Topical corticoids are effective, but do not eliminate the dark colour.
