Insertion of Ring Pessary for Uterine Prolapse

The ring pessary is lubricated with e.g. vaginal antiseptic ointment. Grasp the ring with a firm grip, and squeeze if between the base of the fingers and the thumb. Insert the end of the flattened ring into the vaginal introitus and put the ring in place by pushing with the other thumb.
