Stevens-Johnson Syndrome

Stevens-Johnson syndrome. In Stevens-Johnson syndrome, symptoms arise both in the skin and in the mucous membranes. The causative agent is a drug. Also the conjunctivae in the eyes may show severe lacerations that may even lead to scarring. The patient should be referred to specialized care as an emergency case.
