Paget's Disease of the Nipple

Paget's disease of the nipple.Mammary Paget's disease, a break in the skin in the area of the nipple and areola, sometimes resembling eczema, but not responding to topical treatment, necessitates a proper biopsy. An "eczema" on one breast of a middle-aged or elderly woman is a warning sign. Carcinoma always underlies Paget's disease, and it is rarely palpable and not always even visible in mammography (intraductal carcinoma).
