Chronic photosensitivity (drug-induced).Photoallergic eczema in this patient was probably induced by the diuretic hydrochlorothiazide. Discontinuation of the medication did not calm down the situation, i.e. the condition is so-called persistent light reaction. The symptoms included intense crusted eczema as well as oedema.
