Vulvar Candidiasis of a Baby

Vulvar candidiasis of a baby. Fiercely reddened candidiasis in the genital skin area of a baby girl. The ”satellite specks” of the edges are typical of candidiasis. Moist heat of the nappies promote the development of candidiasis. Bacterial cultivation is useful, especially in order to exclude streptococcal infection.
