Herpes around the Eye

Herpes simplex around the eye. An infection caused by Herpes simplex has burst around the eye. The origin may be elsewhere in the skin. Vesicles of different age and substantial oedema are seen in the skin. The condition of the cornea should be checked (the yellow colour in the picture is due to corneal staining). With this clinical picture, also herpes zoster would be possible.
