Acute Arthritis in the Ankle Associated with Reiter's Syndrome

Acute arthritis in the ankle associated with Reiter's syndrome. Enteropathic reactive arthritis may have fulminant symptoms and may resemble septic arthritis. This adolescent boy had a reddened ankle. There were also symptoms in two other joints. Balanitis circinata in the glans penis and conjunctival flushing were observed. The causative agent was Yersinia enterocolitica.
