Prostatic Hyperplasia (Longitudinal Ultrasonographic Picture)

Prostatic hyperplasia (longitudinal ultrasonographic picture).Urinary retention in an elderly man was caused by a significantly enlarged prostate. The length of the prostate measures 4.9 cm and, measured from a transverse picture, the height is 4.8 cm and the width 5.5 cm. The estimated prostatic size is 0.6 × 4.8 × 5.5 × 4.9 = 77 ml and the weight is about the same in grams.
