Deer Fly Bite on the Scalp

Deer fly bite on the scalp. A bite by a deer fly on the scalp results in an insect bite reaction that may last even for months. It readily becomes infected as a result of scratching. Hair provides a favourite spot for deer flies. Bites as such are incidental; a human being is not an appropriate host.
