Cornu cutaneum on the rim of the ear. Cornu cutaneum on the rim of the ear results from a disturbance of keratinization. The basic process is usually solar keratosis, but the possibility of squamous cell carcinoma should also be kept in mind. The therapy of choice is liquid nitrogen cryosurgery.
