Glucocorticoid Injection at the Insertion of the Plantar Fascia
Glucocorticoid injection at the insertion of the plantar fascia. Give the injection under sterile conditions. Scrub the skin using a disinfectant. Disinfect your hands with a hand sanitizer, and put on sterile gloves. After injection, you should cover the injection site with a self-adhesive wound dressing, particularly if it is still bleeding. It is OK for the injection site to get wet the same day, and no particular restrictions are needed.
Injecting into the sole of the foot requires careful expertise. If you are unsure, do not inject. Frequent injections are not recommended because they often cause changes in the skin or subcutaneous tissue. Please note, in particular, that injections should not be given into the calcaneal fat pad but sufficiently high up.
