Perianal Streptococcal Dermatitis

Perianal streptococcal dermatitis. Perianal streptococcal dermatitis is a relatively common disease. The clinical picture is fairly typical, with bright red and irritated skin around the anus. Bacterial culture may be used to confirm the clinical diagnosis. Treatment consists of antimicrobial drug therapy; usually penicillin or cefalosporin.
