Erythema migrans on the thigh.Borrelia infection, or erythema migrans, presented here as a still reddened blotch with a distinct active edge. It should be borne in mind that the transmission of Borrelia bacteria most commonly occurs via a nymph tick that is only about 1 mm in size and therefore often goes undetected. A negative tick history is therefore unreliable.
