Stevens-Johnson Syndrome

Stevens-Johnson syndrome. In Stevens-Johnson syndrome, symptoms arise both in the skin and in the mucous membranes. The causative agent is a drug. Also the conjunctivae in the eyes may show severe lacerations that may even lead to scarring. The patient is immediately referred to specialized hospital care.
