Neurodermatitis in the Gluteal Cleft

Neurodermatitis in the gluteal cleft. Neurodermatitis, i.e. a lichenified ill-defined eczematous patch in the upper part of the gluteal cleft, as the result of a vicious circle of itching and scratching. The skin is broken from scratching. The eruption resembles lichen planus: check the skin in other parts of the body (especially wrists, ankles and oral mucosa).
