Pustulosis palmoplantaris (coalesced pustules) on the palms.In pustulosis palmaris (palmoplantaris), coalesced pustules with lakes of pus develop and later crust and desquamate as the skin regenerates. The aetiology is unknown and the condition's association with psoriasis is still disputed. Therapy is challenging. Often a combination of drugs is required, including topical corticosteroids, tetracycline, systemic retinoids, systemic corticosteroids, even cyclosporin. Refer the patient to a dermatologist.
