Geographic Tongue

Geographic tongue. The aetiology of geographic tongue, also known as benign migratory glossitis, is unknown and therefore no specific treatment is available. There are well-circumscribed areas with loss of papillae, often surrounded by a light-coloured margin. The lesions change place, sometimes even on a daily basis. People with psoriasis may have similar changes.
