This LDL cholesterol calculator is based on the Friedewald equation (LDL = Chol - HDL - 0.45×Triglycerides, in mmol/l). The equation is not valid if the triglyceride concentration is above 4 mmol/l. The lipid measurements should be performed after 12 hours of fasting.
