A systematic review 1 including 14 studies with a total of 3,199 subjects was abstracted in DARE. There was no statistically significant difference in eradication rate between omeprazole and lansoprazole (6 studies; OR 0.91, 95% CI: 0.69 to 1.21); omeprazole and rabeprazole (4 studies; OR 0.81, 95% CI: 0.58 to 1.15); omeprazole and esomeprazole (2 studies; OR 0.89, 95% CI: 0.58 to 1.35); lansoprazole and rabeprazole (3 studies; OR 0.77, 95% CI: 0.48 to 1.22).
Comment: The quality of evidence is downgraded by sparse data (the difference between rabeprazole and comparator drugs might be clinically significant if the results were statistically significant).
