Nitrofurantoin-Induced Lung Toxicity

Nitrofurantoin-induced lung toxicity. A course of nitrofurantoin prescribed to a 49-year-old woman is just about to end. The patient sought a doctor because of chest pain and dyspnoea. A bilateral diffuse interstitial infiltrate is visible in the chest x-ray. Also the lobe margins are somewhat accentuated. The right pleural recessus is rounded.
